E-bay#6608262365/Buck 108/Comment

Checking the correct auction [for a change] I see that Joe has tested the water, so to speak, but two of the eBay Buck accumulators are bidding heavily on it...4 days left...wonder what it'll hit??? Over $300, do you think??? :)

I would think so, there's another older Buck, not as old as this but one worth watching. I'll post a link later.

One of the accumulators is missing, I not mentioning names but the initials are M. K. Think he must be holding back and seeing what this item might be headed for...after all he has four days, three hours, 46 minutes and seventeen seconds left:D  :D.

He won't get backsided on this one I'll bet. Preston

Here's the link looks like a one liner w/ the hard fiber spacers...just looks interesting. Anyone know for sure what it might be? http://cgi.ebay.com/Pre-1968-Buck-K...608988546QQcategoryZ43322QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

I wouldn't make that bet Preston.....As tempting as it is my knife budget has been blown to hell. I think it'll be Christmas before I can think about any more knives. :( (yeah right!) :p  :p

Mike, sorry to hear that you might not be a player in that auction. I do know what you mean...maybe you received the same list in the mail that I did recently...it destroyed my well conceived budget:(. That and a BIN and a won auction on the Bay. That's why they make those thin, colorful little plastic cards.

Maybe we can get Goose to adopt us and do really well in school:rolleyes: :D . Preston

Unfortunately, I think that has an even smaller possibility. My learning capacity has dwindled down to darn near zero in my old age. (how elso can I account for being repeatedly cut by my 110 shutting on my fingers?)

If I do not have a 1940 s catalog, is anything else in print anywhere else ? Levines ?

Yes, Levines...did you try Google?

The Buck Colletors Club website goes back that far, 1946, are you a member?

Preston

Well, the knife went for $537 to Razzami. I'm not sure who he is. I've seen him bid on Buck knives before. I was kind of hoping Joe Houser was able to pick it up. :(

Adopt ya? Hell, I got five more support payments and I through amigo!
Don't think I'll ever spend half a grand on anything soon ;)
Goose.

Trax, that's a nice looking knife...don't think you could have purchased it from the Custom Shoppe for that. Good get.

Now you won't...NO...you couldn't be...not for that $$$$  . Preston

What do you think would be "tricker"??? A dual-blade, or a drop-point??? :D

Trax..."tricker" would be dual-bladed...embellished (pimped) would be drop-point. JMHO:D. Preston

Have you ever looked at the IP address of my images? (before he deleted it)
Now why exactly would I ever want to do that? And what is the connection between frogs and chicken? Perhaps the frog's legs taste like chicken or perhaps the owners legs look like those of a chicken or a fairly large frog!  :D :D One can only sit and ponder!

Because, like your pics, there are many others in that particular location, of interest, but not directly relevant to the post, but which may prompt questions, declarations of admiration, or squeals of delight... :D

(I deleted it because I went through a lot of my Photobucket pics and deleted them. One-time stuff, like a leverlock I've been rebuilding, that no longer has any interest but was taking up space.) ;)

Trax,
Did you actually get that knife? Are you frog bait?

Yes and yes. Pic (lousy, because the knife is so polished) is in Goose's "Second cut" thread. :)
