Anyone know this dealer? I ordered a temperance trainer from him on E-Bay. He is based out of Oregon and his Spyderco prices seemed very good. He had pretty good ratings and a search here on BF returned no hits. Two weeks have gone by (I paid immediately through paypal) no e-mails nor replies to my e-mails. I think I got ripped off. :(

I bought a couple of knives from him over the past few months.

Both times I had to send him a reminder after about a week.
And both times, a few days later I received the knife.

Sounds to me he is auctioning knives he doesn't actually stock. He can order and have it shipped straight from the distributor to the buyer.Usually it is not a problem, unless he sells an out of stock item.I would say a good portion of dealers sell this way.It costs alot of money to keeps thousands of dollars worth of knives in stock, and room.He probably does this out of his kitchen.

Yeah, I think you are correct. I got fooled by the positive feedback, but those people must have ordered stuff which is easy to find. The temperance trainer I ordered is probably difficult to find. If he has difficulty getting one, he should at least let me know instead of ignoring me and leaving me guessing. The guy already has my money...

always undertand ebay feed back means SQAT!!! . do not go by feedbacks. do you know alot of those feedbacks are by bogus and non existent people?? i knew a guy so sold on ebay . he would pay people and somehow set up phony feedback .

Well, I finally heard from Rusty Adams today, after I posted here on BF. He claimed he had replied to my E-Mail and was waiting to hear back from me. Whatever.I never heard a peep from him, not even after I placed the order. I asked him for a full refund. I'll wait and see.....

They always make that claim when they get caught and called out for poor service. By "they", I mean pretty much any seller peddling something they don't have, or when they have just flat dropped the ball. They always say they E-mailed, because it is too easy to prove they haven't sent a message through EBay, and they are always "waiting for your reply" to put the onus on you, instead of taking responsibility for their inaction or pursuing the matter.

Just got an e-mail from Rusty Adams and Paypal indicating a refund was issued. Rusty apologized and offered free shipping for my next order. OK I give him credit for trying to make amends, but no thanks. BUYER BEWARE

I feel the same way. I give him credit for coming through with the goods both times I bought from him, but I don't intend to buy from him again.
