Beware of this guys auctions on e-bay. It took 3 weeks for this guy to even send me the tracking info. After all this time of constant e-mails to him reqarding my knife purchase which was paid for by credit card, he finally sends me USPS tracking that says it was delivered three weeks ago. Trust me it wasn't delivered to me. He says he has done his part and refuses to do anything more. I can't leave feedback because I was pursuaded by him to use "Buy Now" on e-bay so there is no transaction to relate to. I just thought I would pass on this info so you can avoid the kind of frustration and lost of moneys that I did.

Try contacting the people at eBay. They may or may not be able to help you but it would at least put them on notice that something is not kosher. They are somewhat committed to making sure both parties in transactions are satisfied with the end results.

Hey Guys...

This may also be mail fraud...

Something to think about...

I did a deal with Jim outside of Ebay for 2 Glock clips that he always has posted on Ebay. The deal was really smooth, and I got 2 brand new clips for cheap. He even told me he has hi-cap clips for sale, but too rich for my blood.

But that is just one transaction, and I don't know the guy. If he truly is telling you that it is your problem, then he is not too concerned with happy customers or return business. If he has not delivered the product that you've paid for, and is not concerned with helping in the situation, then I would contact your credit card carrier and have them reverse the charge. That should get his attention.

Too bad, he has a lot of good firearms accessories for cheap. But now I'll be leary of dealing with him, unless you give a good final report.

Yes, it's only when you have a problem with a transaction that you find out who your reputable dealers are. It's like the posting about Botach Tactical that everyone's complaining about. You will see I posted a good transaction with them because everything went smooth. It's when there'e a problem that the disreputable dealers show their real face. I got an e-mail from Mike at M&M Tactical offering to help. Now that's the kind of place we should all be shopping. If USPS delivered to the wrong place like it happened to me he would have replaced the knife and took care of the shipping error himself. We need more dealers like Mike & Missy at M&M Tactical.

Is this the guy that describes a standard spyderco knife as "Diver" model, "Woodsman" model an etc.?

I don't believe so. His e-bay user name is fox1@mediaone.net He has ton's of stuff on e-bay in fact 165 auctions right now. He has alot of good feedback but if you check his bad feedback is for lack of communication and slow shipping. I have got to tell you it just showed up this minute as I am typing. Funny because the tracking info he sent me said it was delivered 12-21-00. Go figure! At least I learned a lesson here. Only deal with reputable dealers. Here is what this jerk finally decided he would offer.

I will make you a one-time offer.
I will split the difference with you. I will refund you 1/2 of the purchase
price $35.50 based on you completing the below instructions.
I feel this is more than fair. I have shipped a package and the package has
a confirmed delivery. I am at no risk for loosing the money you paid. I have
no reason to believe the knife was not delivered.
If you would like to accept this offer please mail me a signed letter of
agreement that you accept these terms as settlement for the dispute.
Please have the letter post marked by January 6th 2001. Once I receive this
I will process a $35.50 refund thru Billpoint. If you choose not to accept
this and have the letter post marked by tomorrow the offer is rescinded.
Its up to you.
Thanlks

Maybe I'm missing something here, but when the tracking info was finally sent, it did say that the package was delivered. At that point, it becomes his word against yours, and since he doesn't know you from Adam, why should he assume that you never got the knife that the USPS says was delivered to you?

I can't understand the 3 week delay in sending the tracking info, but other than that I don't quite understand what you would have him do differently.
I don't know how much buying or selling you do on ebay, or any of the other online auctions for that matter, but it's not only the sellers who are doing the scamming, and I'm sure this guy has dealt with at least a few people who have tried to scam him. When this type of thing happens, most people do whatever it takes to keep the buyer from posting negative feedback. In your case you opted to use "buy it now", so the seller wasn't as much at your mercy as he might have been. Even so, he did offer to refund you half of the purchase price, which he was by no means obligated to do. Should he refund all monies to you, because you claim the package was never delivered?

Allow me to relate a few experiences. In the past I have had a few items sent to me by USPS. Those partys confirmed that after they were shipped out. If sent by priority 3 day and after 4/5 days they do not show up and the confirmation # on the Postal web site confirms that they were, I immediately make a trip to my local PO. Guess what, they were sitting there! Even if the web site does not indicate status I still go over to the PO after said # of days. No postal slips were left at my address. The delivery person was just plain lazy to make their stop in fear of having to work past their hours or into night time. So they dump the remainder of the truck contents back to the P.O. Hence no slip left at my addy.

Point is, have you actually gone to your local P.O. to check if in fact the package is sitting there?! You may be surprised.

Additionally, if both partys agree to provide a confirmation #, then that should be done as soon as shipping out is done. I don' t know what the circumstances were but 3 weeks is a bit tardy. Good luck.

I just closed a deal with this guy yesterday. The package has not arrived as yet but he seems level headed enough. He was good enough to give me my waybill about 6 hours after I paid him and 2 hours prior to shipment. The post office has just confirmed that my package is en route.

Work with the post office and put a trace on the package, and take another look around. I once spent a week looking for a package that allegedly had been delivered only to find it concealed behind some bushes on my patio. The idiot that delivered it had not bother to leave a note on my door.

Good luck, I hope everything works out (for both of us).

Thanks not2sharp,If your package shows up your OK, if not that's another story. I ask for proof that he shipped my knife numerous times and it was only when I told him I was going to submit a formal complaint that he finally looked for his receipt and then told me it was already delivered and he had fulfilled his obligation to me. I could go on with the details but you can make your own desision as to whom you deal with and if you think this dealer is the kind of person you want to do business with. I should have known better. We have plenty of great dealers who frequent the blade forums and are well known for their good customer service. I for one don't need this kind of hassel. BTW the package that was confirmed delivered before Christmas just showed up yesterday at my front door.

Just wanted to follow up on my previous post. My package arrived to day in good order. Maybe I was just lucky but I had a very clean transaction with this seller.

In case anyone missed the final outcome. I did finally receive my knife and the transaction has been completed satisfactorily. The seller tells me that he has invested in a new shipping system which will automatically track every package and automatically send an email to the reciepient the day the item ships with a confirmation of shipment and the tracking number. Sounds like a good investment to me.
