E. Bruckmann Knives

I'm not sure why I haven't modded one of these before. Maybe because they are usually in such great condition. However, I had this one, and found the covers to be hideous. What to do???

I've been into Bruckmann knives for a few decades. The story I remember hearing is that the knives with the glaze blade finish in simpler patterns, like the 2-bladed corkscrew pens and jacks, were assembled/finished by Robt. Klass from Bruckmann parts. SMKW was selling them in bundles of 6 for years and they usually had celluloid covers (black, brown, imitation horn, etc.).

The nicer Bruckmanns sold by Parker and AG Russell were supposedly part of the huge warehouse find in Germany in the 1970s or early 1980s.
