Eagle Industries Sheath mod

Hi All,
I have an Eagle Industries sheath that I am going to use for a SOG Seal Pup Elite. The nylon sheath for the SOG was the second, as I had them replace the first due to a missing grommet.

The keeper that snaps around the knife handle is larger than the handle and the knife can be pulled out without releasing the snap.
I want to reduce the inside diameter of the keeper and was hoping for some expertise from the BF community

Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.
