A few of you who know me,know that my wife (yeah,my wife),is the Scoutmaster of Troop 6 here in Southold NY
In early March,my son Ryan, will be having a group ceremony along with 3 other scouts from the troop,to be awarded the rank of Eagle Scout.

We are proud of our son & I am especially proud of my wife, too, for her accomplishments with the troop, attendance is up & higher than ever, and the group ceremonies of the Eagle award is indicative of the accomplishments.
Last year we had a ceremony of 5 scouts.

I told my wife about the Buck knife program,in witch they laser engrave the knife. One Bolster the Scout Eagle Crest, one the troop, one the Scouts name & on the fourth side of the bolsters, the date of the Board of Review.
Two of the scouts have these & we are working on getting the info to the parents of the other two, since we all were impressed with this product & the Buck Co's response to filling these orders

Too much light here at high noon, but you get the picture.
It's good stuff all around. This is a great set up for your Eagle Scout!
-Vince :):):)

Sorry for the lame pics, but I had to do this w/ I could & the sun played heck on the bolsters

Great knife and congratulations to your son. That is a great accomplishment. One which I hope to help all of my sons achieve.

Congrats Vince. Eagle scout is a high honor even recognized in the work force. if an employer sees that on a resume' it's :thumbup:

Congrats all around. The knives look super and I'm sure will be treasured by all who receive them.

Vince congrats to all! I know you're proud

Congrats to your son, your wife and you. It is definitely a family project and an accomplishment for any young man. My son was approved for Eagle in January and I am doing the same kind of thing you are with a knife.

All the best from Troop 36, Dahlonega, GA.

What Vince didn't tell you is, that Buck does this as a gift to scout. They believe in the values of the program and support it out of there own pocketbook......

I never got one because that knife was not produced back then....ha Maybe they would make me a chipped flint one.......

Wow, cool. I didn't know Buck did this out of their own pocket book. I was wondering why my troop didn't know about it back in the day. I figure this is a relatively new program. Good on Buck for supporting the Scouts.

Vince - congrats to you, your wife, and your son! That's a great achievement.

Very thoughtful gift too.
I guess Buck didn't do that 35 years ago. Yikes, 1976 really wasn't that long ago was it? :)

Thank You all for the kind comments & Congrat's
We are excited here ,and looking forward to this day in March.

Now on this Valentine's Day,gather all around for a big group hug ! :D

I can't believe I typed that! :o
