Yes i am finely done, i just need to sharpen them. I made these knives for my two brothers as gifts for getting there eagle in scouting. i will be presenting them with these knives at the court of honer. please don't mind the crappy pictures as i used my camera phone at work. What you think? i did not remove all the forging marks from the blade as it would have made them to thin so i no big deal. i kinda made a them of it, the guard material is wrought iron that came off a wagon. it was flat bar that was hand forged out by some blacksmith many many many years ago. so i left the aged finish on the top of the guard where it meets the blade. it's a very clool look but my camera phone can not get that close. the handle is box elder burl that was stablized and dyed. and the sheath leather is horse belly, some of the best stuff i have fount for sheaths. What you think?

Very nice craftsmanship.

I have to do some leather shopping soon and will now have a look at horse belly.

the horse belly i get comes pre dyed and its dyed all the way through so its very nice. also i was haveing problems with the cow leather i was getting having one good side but under it the leather was kinda stringy like not very dense. but the horse belly is allmos like a solid. like liquid leather was poured in a mold and made into a sheat. very dense and not any fiber problems i was having with the cow hide

I buy my leather locally at a Tandy Leather shop... Manager loves me there!

ETA: Nice looking knives! Question though, it's probably just the lighting, but how bad are the leftover forge markings?

Nice knives!

As an Eagle Scout myself (silver palm, too!), send them my congrats and remind them to put it on each and every college application and resume they fill out. Of the 6 jobs ive been interviewed for since getting my Eagle, each and every interviewer commented on it in some way or another.

Tell them also about Buck. I believe buck has a knife specially for eagle scouts and they engrave it for free. Theres a thread here:

some people might be wondering why such vibrant colored handles. well i it is there favorat
colors. It was very nice material to work with, i highly endorse WSSI. it is kinda funny, i ordered it and 10 days went by and i did not see it so i called them and it had gotten returned to them because of an address mistake. at that point i was panicked because i was running out of time. but they did like a next day shipping and i had it like a day later and i was shocked. very good people to deal with.
