Early '70's 124

Yes, for the 2 that's good. Buck could repair the serrations and bring it back to near original. A good steady hand with a file and the knife held in a vise would do it. 15 divots. One would need to know the size of the original divots and use that file. DM

Here is a 124 with the original serrations to compare. As David said someone more talented than me with a file with the right pitch it could be repaired.

Thank you, I think for now I'll just put it in the display and someday I plan to start sending them in for spa treatments, maybe I'll ask then about a regrind.

It would have to be a triangle shaped file...Look at the fine V notch inward...It looks like 3 or 4 different sized triangle files too me? I think I would keep it and make it a user and just keep my eye out for the next one...

Don, it's too rare to be a user (IMO).
It took me forever to find an inverted 122 and 124.

It could just be these old eyes, to me the inverted 124 Dave M shows the serrations on looks like they were made with a 3 pt file but the serrations on mine looks to have been made with a round or rat-tail file. If & when I send it in for a spa treatment I'll ask if they could touch them up. What the heck, they couldn't hurt it.

Don if I had a use for it other than to adorn my wall it would be a good candidate, I carry a 110 part time now and find it is to much for what I need.
Other than my two 2 line I don't have a 122 and have never seen one. I just make believe that one of them was a 122 in a previous life.
Thanks All.

I agree on it as well. It looks to be a triangle file. My file starts thin on one end and gets wider at the handle. Other serrations look like a cup divot. DM
