Early Badger Attack

Ha ha - believe me, I was tempted myself, but then my damned conscience piped up.... :D

One of the things I like about these forums is the honor of the people here. In a day of no morals and questionable character it's good to know that there are still good people around.

Speaking of early knives, I notice your location is Durban, SA. I have a beautiful Chris Reeve Aviator made from D2 while Chris was still down there.

Well, thanks...

That's awesome. The SA ones are pretty collectible too I believe.

Woah.... but how do you tell what steel it is???

I've heard that you use a gun blue pen on the edge. INFI won't blue, other metals (ATS-34, D2) will. The final word is from Jerry. He can read the sparks to tell you what alloy it is.
Beautiful blade and, BTW, I'll take it. (Ha ha)

Well, I will advise him to hang onto it for now. I guess it will only increase in value. If he's really desperate for the dough, I guess the best bet would be to put it on the exchange here.

Thanks for all the help fellas!

Just send it to me to add to my meager collection. :D

Nice blade, and cool of you to find out for your buddy vs letting him give it away.

(Let's keep all the offers to buy/sell out of this forum guys. You know how I get... )

Actually, it's probably reached its apex in terms of increasing value.

I'd agree with my fellow Hogs at setting this somewhere around $1K ... especially if it's as pristine as that picture indicates.

It he doesn't "love" it, he might as well sell it on the Exchange. Someone will indeed pick it up for a fair price.

[No, this is not an offer to buy, that would be entirely inappropriate. It is merely a suggestion to "take her to the Exchange."]

What sheath?

If He got it from Jerry Direct, the sheath will help with a Time line as to A-2 or INFI.

Kydex and INFI 1999 Happened pretty often.

1996 would be A-2.

But in 1999 the magic Happened.
