Early Christmas Present

Very tasteful knife there!

Worth mugging you for......

Excellent choice, what a Christmas cracker! Best regards.

hehe, well, email me your address so I can be sure to NOT take a walk-about
in your neighborhood :)

Thanks and yes, I really like this rascal, while not one I would have ordered
without holding, very glad to have it, one to pass down to the grandsons
for sure.

I may get to making a sheath after Christmas, as I have a person's knife inbound
and may work on mine while I have the 'stuff' out.

Was working on another sheath and while I had the 'stuff' all out, I decided to
make one for this rascal, with the wide tip going in first, it makes for a very very
secure retention of the knife in the sheath, no worries on this ever falling out
even if I were climbing a tree upside down, as I use to do, oh so many years ago ;)

one of my fav embossings, works nice on the limited area of the sheath;

Incredibly fine vintage slippy and first rate sheath as well!. A purrrdy combination to be sure.

Does the back of the sheath have a clip or a belt loop, as to be worn on the belt?

Thanks, the sheath has a belt loop, part and parcel of one piece of leather
the belt loop folds down behind the sheath and is stitched along the bottom.
It's sort of like leather origami in a way ;)

I don't use clips on my sheaths, but there are others that have used them and
offer that option, just never got into clips, plus with the retention of the sheath
the sheath would pull out instead of the knife coming free in this case.

Here's a thread that shows my custom buck 110 and the sheath I made for it
you can see the sides and back of that sheath, down the page a bit Buck 110

Gary,

Just read through the Buck 110 thread. Thanks for the link for it. The knife is a beautiful custom!. The nickle bolsters are a very classy touch.. And the sheath is OUTSTANDING! I love what you do with the leather in the back. Super solid work. And beautiful too. The Indian embossing is a very cool touch. Another fine combination. You do very nice work.

Many Blessings,

Anthony

Thanks Anthony, and yes, that Buck is a wonderful knife, very sleek in style!

Thanks Dcrutch8, I've several embossings that I really like, my most fav is the
celtic circle one but limited space only allowed this one to fit on there.

And it's a nice traditional style knife for sure, glad to have it on my hip now!

Getting to use this more, now that I'm home for a few days,
using the smaller blade the most, stiff opener but getting smoother
little by little, and quite a sharp blade, thinly ground, cuts easily
you get a feeling of confidence when you grip this and cut, just
seems natural :)
