This is the style knife I always saw in the hardware store when I was a kid. The blade is 4 3/4" long of 1/8" O1 steel, with an overall length of 9 1/4". Handles are tiger stripe maple. $120.00 shipped in USA, money orders only. Price includes a brown leather sheath. THIS ONE IS SOLD

Good Grief, I remember those knives. I must be as old as you:D. Older actually. It is similar to the Green River Hunters but with a bit more heft. A real classic. I really like it.

John mentioned to me he was making an old style knife, this is just crazy. Reminds me of the original Marbles Woodcrafter that H. Kephart describes in his book. What a great rendition of a classic.

I can see a few good uses for this style.

Green River hunter. Just to compare. Not as nice as Johns.

That's really nice bro, I think you will be getting some orders for that style !!!!

Nice blade! What would you classify that as? A modified clip-point maybe? Or perhaps a modified bowie...??? Anyway, nice work :)
