Early lockup isn't all it's cracked up to be. Consider that the lock interface on 99% of all frame locks are not parallel. Early lockup plus angled interface puts more force in a smaller area of the lockbar. My ZT 0560 had super early lockup and a steep angled interface after coming back with a new Ti scale from some warranty work at ZT. Within a month or 2 of use there was severe lock rock/slip from the Ti being peened by the tang in such a small area. If you look at CRK's, their interface is parallel and normal lockup is 50% or so, you don't hear many stories of a Sebenza developing lock rock that isn't 10-15 years old.
