Early Protege Model??

I saw a Buck folder that looks like the Protege with a clear blue "plastic" handle and thumb studs on the 1/2 serrated blade...with removeable pocket clip for ~$30. I don't see it in the current catalog....is this an early Protege??? Very tempting!! :D
 
Isn't that a Buck Lite or something? I don't believe they're particularly rare or desirable. Unless, of course, you desire one. $30 seems a bit much. ISTR them going for about $10 NIB on ebay fairly recently.
