Early season hunting success

is that a bowtech?
Yes it is. It is the Guardian.

Sasha, I had to take a pretty hard swallow before I test fired that "thing". I was like you gotta be kidding me. All I needed was 1 shot and I was dropping $750 on just the bow. :D I took no offense whatsoever. I felt the same as you do...at least until I shot it.

Hey TwinBlade,

I prefer traditional archery but to each their own. I enjoy reading your posts and yes I have fired a CCM before. :D Just kidding.

Great shots, of both kind.:)

er..why are there party lights in your first picture?

Makes me want to test the bad shoulder again with a bow. Probably a bad idea.

Didn't you have to register the deer before dressing it out and skinning?

Thanks.

Jam. I'm jealous! Nice shot! Great start to the season.

Register before field dressing it? No. register before skinning and quartering it? Yes. When is the last time you have ever hunted? Do you take the intact deer to register it and then take it back to the land and gut it out? Do you let it swing in the trees until morning with the guts inside it until the station opens up after rotting inside the deer all night? :D

Here is a picture I took of the arrow with the deer in the bed of my truck on it's way to get it registered.

as for the lights...why not? I mean it is my friends property, but the "party" lights are quite appropriate after shooting a deer wouldn't you say? Honestly, I have no idea though. It makes for great subdued camp lighting though without having glaring flood lighting. ;)

Where in Wisconsin are you from? I live in Waukesha and hunt Adams County...just north of Westfield in Coloma.

do the six deer last year count?

I asked a civil question.

In answer to yours, I field dress, take the carcass to registration, come home, hang the carcass, skin it, and let it cool.

I live in the CWD eradication zone.

I meant no disrespect my friend. My comment in hind sight does sound a bit abrasive but I meant it in light jest. 6 deer last year? excellent hunting!!

I'm getting hungry for some venison!
I don't have a hunting license yet but next year I plan on getting all my papers and hopefully snag a moose tag.
