I just purchased a mint, unused early Utica 3 backspring / 3 blade utility folder. It has the older curved Utica stamp, and is definitely pre-Kutmaster. Can anyone give me a time line as to how old a Utica, pre Kutmaster knife might be? Thanks
The arched UTICA stamping was used circa 1910 to about the WWII time frame. The very earliest utica knives also had UTK WARRANTED on the rear of the tang.
That sounds like an interesting knife with 3 blades riding on three backsprings...can you post a pic or a further description? That could also help me to date it further.
