Ease of anodizing titanium at home?

So I saw a few videos of at-home anodizing with 9v batteries and a baking soda solution. I want to attempt it on some titanium handle scales (the ZT 0450 specifically) but I want some input first, since I don't want to rely on just a few videos as a source. Is it really possible to anodize this way? If I somehow mess it up and don't get the color I want, how easy/difficult is it to remove the anodizing and start fresh?
