Easier opening GEC model

The #92 Eureka Jack is the slickest opening GEC I've ever handled.

I have adopted it as my favorite EDC.

I can't recommend it highly enough.

Thanks for the clarification P. I had thought I'd seen other dealers with them and thought they were part of the general releases.

Yes and they are very "pinchopenable" (hey i invented a new word!)

The White Owl is the nicest opening Great Eastern that I've experienced. The very long models like the #64 and #65 are easy too, either because of more gentle springs or the leverage geometry. The Pony Jack and Boys Knife aren't "nail-breakers" but they are strong.

Take a look at the Northwoods Norfolk that KSF sells exclusively (their brand). IIRC, it is made by GEC and is a super little knife. Soft opening, great main blade and a smallish pen knife for the second blade. The entire knife is a bit on the small side [Edit: 3.25" closed, low end of your size needs], but it is a real winner. I have trouble keeping it out of my pocket. Comes in a leather "moccasin" instead of a box. Nice touch.

Many, many great suggestions in this thread. Hard to go wrong with any of them. Best of luck. :)
