East Coast Custom Knife Show!!!!

Awesome, thanks for the info! Its my first time so I was alittle unsure.

You can bring a video camera, no issues.
If a particular vender doesn't want to appear on camera, they'll let you know, as far as video at a particular table, always best to just politely say "do you mind if I take some shots/video", everyone has a camera/video camera.

I'm going on Friday and then popping in perhaps for the Hinderer auctions if there are 3" XM-18s on the block. Hoping to hold in my hand a Sebenza.... CRK isn't going is anyone aware of a dealer who will have them?
t

True north knives has lots of Sebenzas

Had my Spyderco Techno sharpened at the show Fri. by Clay Allison the creator and owner of the Wicked Edge sharpening system, two words:
"sick sharp":

I was the the third name called at the Hinderer lotto Sat., picked up the only orange scale 18 slicer on the table, not really my kind of knife, but will hang onto it for a bit.

I just arrived home myself.
Clay Allison of Wicked Edge is a nice guy. He looked ay hand sharpening and sharpmaker finished Seb 21. He told me I had a gift and he was extremely impressed. That me so happy. He was fondling the edge for a few minutes. How down to earth.
I handled every production and custom I have ever dreamed of. My wife really liked the DDR customs.
I could go on and on.
Can you believe two glasses of milk in our suite was 20$. After a short night out we needed to devour a box of goodies from Carlos bakery. It had to be done!

$20. bucks for two glasses of milk... definitely room service prices!.

I was pondering purchasing a 'Wicked Edge' from Clay, but decided I better put it towards my rent.
Great show, I liked Saturday.
Here's a vid a friend just sent me, some video highlights from Friday and Saturday.
Unfortunately there were a few Japanese makers and the master André Thorburn from South Africa whose work was jaw dropping that are not in this vid.

At about 15:23 into the video, there's the orange 'Hinderer' on the table that I bought.

I am watching your video now. I also spent the day Sat in there for a few hours. I arrived at 1. I went to the show intil 3 and checked in right after. I came up the elevator and had to walk through the Hinderer auction with my wife and our bags. Kind of a funny moment.

Oh yeah, Andre Thorburn. He and I spoke for about fifteen minutes with my wife. He is amazing and we were speaking of his retirement.
He said to move and down to south africa to apprentice him. Funny stuff. And what a kind guy. His work is top notch with amaaaazing fit and finish.

Best fastest flipper I have EVER seen. Gonna order one for June I think..... Nice man too.

Yeah show was great! Glad you had a good time BellBlades. Andre Thorburn is such a nice guy. Also had a great chat with Des Horn. His knives are awesome, but a bit out of my price range. But I think I am going to pick up his Spyderco collab.

Did anyone actually see Owen Wood on Saturday?? I was really excited to see him there because he was the first knifemaker I ever met, at the first knife show I went to in 1995 in Durban, South Africa. He wasn't at his table though the whole time I was there. I even went off and had lunch and came back and he still wasn't there.
