Let's see if I can get the pix to post again. Losing light so not top notch pix despite the super DC.

top -- Very nice 20 inch Sirupati, 28 oz., by Amtrak kami. Only criticism I can offer is the scroolwork and inlay could be better. Fit, finish, hardness all fine. Karda and chakma good. Usual top work by village sarki on scabbard and frog. Easter Bunny says let it go for 1/2 + shipping which works out to be $75.

center -- Beautiful work by Bura on this 20/5 inch 30 ounce Movie Model. I'll give the rig a 10/10 with these exceptions: There is a minor chip in the beautifully grained horn handle near the bolster -- less than 1/8 inch and can be repaired to perfect if desired. And, the fit of bolster to blade is substandard for Bura but acceptable. Easter Bunny says knock off $15 for these slight imperfections and deliver this rig for $135.

bottom -- Excellent 18 inch 28 ounce WWII by Bura. I'll give it a 9.99/10 rating. The only thing I can find that's even worth mentioning is again the fit of bolster to blade. It's 99 percent right but not perfect. At Easter Bunny price of 1/2 + shipping ($72.50 + $12.50) at $85 it still falls into the UBBB category.

Call or email before 10 AM Renot time tomorrow and we'll get these shipped tomorrow.

I've noticed on the Hollywood model that Bura has a thick handle. It looks like the antique handles I've seen from Powel's and others photos.

Just when you think you've seen it all the HI Kamis come through with the exciting and original.

Gotta love those watch gears Bura puts on the ends of the movie model buttcaps.

Interestingly, a kind forumite sent a couple of wrist watches for watchless kamis.

WWII gone.

those look like alarm clock gears...how many broken clocks in Nepal? This could get interesting...I'd love to see Bura start hanging all sorts of stuff on the ends of those buttcaps.

how many broken clocks in Nepal?

14 -- and Bura got them all. When he has run out of gears that spells the end of the Movie Special.

Uncle Bill your eyes must be much better than mine. I keep looking at those pics for the flaws you listed, but after 5 minutes of staring all I found was a pool of drool on my floor.:D Still waiting for Wildmanh to have a dream about lottery numbers, ah if only I had money. :(

ARe these still here? That movie model is just as good as the sirupati I've always wanted. But I spent all my money on firearms!!!

Argghh.

Somebody better grab that Sirupati. I have enough money (cause I don't have a car nor a gun, and I started walking instead of taking the bus), but I don't need another khukuri.

I never handled a Siru though... tempting tempting...

Must find a website with nude girls instead to get my mind off that knife!

Edited to add:
Did I really think that?
I think I should go and visit my girlfriend soon. Haven't seen her in some time.

Sorry if I was unappropriate for this forum.

The Movie Model is killing me. Where is everyone?

edit: there are never enough khukuris. Never.

If only I had bigger hands... That movie model handle looks huge.

Maybe I'll start washing my hands with lawn fertilizer.

Federico, sorry but no dreams about Khuk's or lottery numbers last night. Had a funky dream about the war (got to stop watching CNN before bed) and some good looking girls.:p he he he

What really gets me is I braced myself for whatever Bill would throw out here. I figured I could take it. And the Movie Model I just kinda smiled at in the beginning. But something happened. It snuck up on me. The darn thing snuck up on me. It has the right combo of ridiculousness and uniqueness. It could be a great Sirupati type Khuk, and this one is even better to my taste at 30 oz and 20"

Gotta love the watch gear. And the handle is just right. Whoever gets this is going to have a lot of fun and get some work done too.
