Not sure if the Becker forum is the correct place for religious stuff.

While it is a nice sentiment I have to agree with Widerstand.

I appologize to all if the mods deem my post inappropriate. However, I have seen Christmas sentiments expressed on this forum and, in my simple mind, I see little difference.

I have no problem with someone wishing folks a Happy Easter.
If you are not of the Christian faith, you only have to take it as "have a good weekend."
The point about it being no different from past "Merry Christmas" wishes is a good one.
I don't think the OP is trying to convert anyone or force-feed his views.
    Carry on.

Happy Easter to everyone, Christian or not. Easter gets its name from Eostre, which is the name of a Celtic goddess, and also refers to fertility rites of the spring celebrated in that culture (this is where the "Easter Bunny", Easter Eggs, and gift-giving of sweets come from). It is also why Easter is celebrated on the first Sunday after the first Full Moon after the Spring Equinox.

As you can see, Easter is a much broader holiday than just for the Christians in da house, so have a great one!

Lastly, my all-time favorite comedian has a funny routine about the intersection of the Christian and the older pagan/secular traditions. I share it here in the spirit of mirth and celebration. No matter how you celebrate, enjoy!

Christmas and Easter are all-inclusive holidays whose most visible components have nothing to do with Christian religious events. Therefore I see no issue with an acknowledgement of these occasions. I say this as a Jew who does not celebrate these holidays except for gifting and eating chocolate rabbits.

Both the shortest day of the year and spring have always been celebrated across cultures and around the world. After Emperor Theodosius declared Christianity to be the Roman state religion the autumnal equinox was selected for Christmas in order to co-opt the existing pagan holiday. The date for Easter was tied to Passover, not artificially set, but the co-opting of the rites of spring was similar. In addition the celebration of the rebirth of the sun fit in nicely with the birth of the "Son" and the reemergence of much of the natural world in Spring fit with the rebirth/resurrection of Jesus.
