NB is the blade steel type. You may want to search through the Makers forum and ask there rather than general, I am sure Eastern Washington knife makers are not too numerous to narrow down to what you need to find. Some of those guys do not poke around in General much. Use the search feature within the website on the dark blue tool bar.

Bruce Bump is in eastern Washington, he might be able to help you...

I agree with the earlier poster: post a pic, that might help!

I know James Rieck, hemmay be working on that side of the hill? Not positive though?

Well, there is Bruce Bump, Gary Silvers, Mike Igo, and Pete Bromely here in Spokane, but neither mark their knives like that. Allen Blade used to be in Spokane years ago and he did mark some of his stuff with a "AB" or just a "B". There is not a lot of established makers in E.WA and they usually mark their knives with their complete name or a logo. Do you know what town the maker lives in? I've met or have seen examples of pretty much every established maker in cental and north E.Wa. and dont know that mark.

I think the knife was made in chesaw or chelewa.
I can't take a pic because I lost the knife and need to replace it.
The NB are attached to each other, the B is on the last leg of the N.

Ray Rogers, Jack Seggie, and I all live and make knives in Eastern Washington as well, I have never heard of a maker here with those initials or mark... how old was the knife? I live fairly near Chesaw, but the only guy I know of smithing up there is Gary Eagle, and he does not do much knife work.

Hmmm, it doesnt ring a bell with me. It does re-inforce my pet peave that makers should use their name just in case somebody wants to contact them.

There is a guy in Colfax that puts handles on factory made blades and sells them at county fairs and farm shows. Which would explain the initials instead of full name. And would explain why nobody here is familiar with him.
Where did you purchase it?
