Easy Openers

Here is a chunky, Schrade Cut Co!! Solid Brass handles, half stops, and both blades marked, indicating an earlier knife!! And of course, an EO notch!!! Used little in all
those years, 1920s to 1930s, it has excellent walk and talk on this 3 5/8" Jack!!
Close to 100 years old !!!!

Looks like a Minter, jigging from another dimension and admire that Longpull running into the tang- can't be easy to do in production. But what's the beautiful Green glass artefact? I'm guessing something from old power or telephone lines? (turns out to be an immensely valuable objet d'art from a famous artist :D:eek:) Love the look of it, I need one...

Thanks, Will

Good to see that this thread still has some gas in the tank. :)
And great to see some very unique and interesting models shown in the past few pages.
Here is an early post WWII model by H.M. Slater of Sheffield with nice stag handles and triple fluted bolsters.

Those green glass power line insulators are all over the place here. I have a number of them, and every antique shop has a bunch for sale. Green is by far the most common, but you can find clear and purple glass frequently, and rarely yellow or even a yellowish glass with a pearlescent finish.

H herder Fluted bolsters and Stag! Really good looking piece of antler too, interesting that it's post WW II as it has the quality look of earlier examples- before Sheffield finally rested on its laurels and churned out knives clearly inferior to its competitors.
