Yeah I'm rescheduling my ahlzeimers test. The blonde accessory knives came with the Thamar Tin Chirra.
My mind was mush and on sensory overload taking in both of these beauties at once.

Forgive me mine errors.

So Bwanna and Bookie decide the acronym.
...BABKS? BBKS?.....or something more amusing with the breakdown....let a Washington desk jockey take a stab at it....

Bookie, that is absolutely gorgeous. Me thinks this is not the first time you've taken on such an endeavor.
Love the design, perfect fit for Auntie's special knife.

I got a bunch of busted 3 square files but I'm thinking I couldn't do that with any of them.

I bow in your presence.

I have an extremely high tolerance to sticks and stones but calling me a desk jockey is over the line.

When the officers find themselves in deep kimchi, they call me, throw away the rule book and let the chips land where they may.

Some of the stuff they tell bad guys about me in the office makes me blush.

I fly a desk but in my head I'm in high speed pursuit on some days and a door gunner for Bookie on others, course the way he drives gunships I need them little sacks, stomachs a bit squeamish.

My last unit i transitioned to was a Reserve BnHq for Military Sealift Command, actually no two-week annual training but always live missions such as if you needed a mechanized infantry battalion in Bosnia, and now, give us a call....

But not many super-soldiers amongst them....we had a new LTC take over who was more some of our's speed, including myself and a handful of old infantry and other airborne/air assault and even a CWO3, and we had some fun....you should have seen the looks in some eyes when he announced the next drill we would be rappelling out of a helo, and fast rope for those of us who had done it before.....we actually made some converts....

The below are of Bawanna and, curiously in a time warp, in one of my old units but about 7yrs before i joined....so i am not in them and i guess Bookie is just off camera doing a pre-flight walk around...

Bookie, the flower fits the theme of the knife perfectly...an elegant and personal touch....be sure to show Bawanna a helicopter CAN do a loop...

"Here's what I thought was my completed Thamar Trifecta. (again that means 3 Bookie). BUT I find that I have a Thamar Tin and a Yek, but no Dui, Then I have a Purna Dui and Yek. So I need a Thamar Dui and a Purna Tin to have two Trifecta's. So I have a trifecta but not purebred Thamar. Still have a goal."

After careful reevaluation I discover the above, so I end up with Two Yeks. a Purna and a Thamar So in an effort to squash my kuhkri hog reputation I'm gifting my Purna Yek to a fella at work tomorrow. He does a lot of outdoor stuff and he can put it to good use. The Purna is full tang so he can pry car doors off or cut submarines in half or whatever without concern.
I like the historical feel and look of the rat tail Thamar very much so it will live with me all the days of my life.

I'll continue my quest for a Thamar Dui to complete that trifecta and then get back to my regularly scheduled addiction.

Too Late Booko's and Bucko's! Ndog has the winning Thamar trifecta already:D Unless yall come up with a full house or Royal flush then yall are Dui Dui out of luck! Ill only say that yek times!

Well, I have two Thamar Yek Chirras and another Thamar that was sold as a Dui Chirra, but looks very much like the recent Tin Chirras. So Ndog, I'd really appreciate it if you would post a picture of your Thamar Diu Chirra and Tin Chirra side-by-side, so I can see the difference. For that matter, some of the Thamar Yek Chirras appear to be much like a Dui Chirra? Yek, Dui, or Tin, my Thamar khukuris are some of my favorites for anything but very heavy chopping.

I am quite sure when my TTC gets here that it will be about the favoritest of traditional designs....the number of fullers mattereth not, so long as multiple, and this will be my first....am more jazzed as to it than any other after poking around in photos of old knives....

I always buy just-in-case spares of beloved knives, and then love them so much and wish to share the joy that i give them away and am always out of spares....a friend of mine is same way...as soon as i tell him i like something so much that i am buying a spare, he always quips "and you haven't even yet met the kid you are giving it to..."

No problem mbob! I had one i just recently sold to an amigo here that was sold as a Dui Chirra as well but was obviously a Yek Chirra. Luckily I had one to compare it to. Ill post all three up soon as I get it. I can see how they could easily get mixed up.

Should of seen the detective when I gave him the Purna Yek Chirra. He went on his knees and wanted to do a ceremony. I told him the only ceremony I knew of involved chopping off animal heads. He wasn't game to that.

But he was quite impressed and very very happy. I was happy too. Nice to give now and then, feels good.
