EB series handle question...

I presume this question has come up somewhere on this forum already, but why do the handle slabs on the EB series extend beyond the profile of the knife on the top and bottom?

Also, do the EB's come cord wrapped?

...lovin' my MFS and itchin' to try carrying some of the CQB models in the wilderness of New Jersey! ;)

Andy,
As I remember the explanation of the EB series by Mick/Duane the slabs were to extend beyond the knife material in an effort to give you more purchase on the knife when the meat of your hand would sink into it. The whole issue was to design a knife that might be more difficult to dislodge out of your hand, whether you employ a reverse grip or saber...the extra choil on the "L" (EBL-T/S) also helps in this issue.
I hope that this helps sir.

Thanks Joe.

Yeah, I figured as much...got to see some EB's across the aisle from us at Shot Show and was impressed, but Duane was too busy looking for band-aids after a small mishap behind the display case to answer my questions! ;):D

Duane...BTW...if you read this, I got some paperwork from Dick Kramer last week...need to talk to you.

Thanks again for the response Joe...

Can you get the EB's cord wrapped BTW?

Andy,
Hi there again...in all fairness, no one has asked ME for a cord wrapped version - so the issue hasn't come up before with me. But drop me an email if you want and let me know if I can help. I mean, it's only a question right??? ....just one MORE version of the EB series!!;)
Let me know...
Joe

Well Andy...guess that covers that! Talk to you soon I hope.
Hi there yourself Mr. Mick!! Thanks for saying hello!:D
All the Best,
Joe
