Anyone here carry an EB-T? Im looking for a tanto to put on my entry vest. Any thoughts on the EB-T verse other similar Striders?

I carry an EB-LT. NO BS--just a good knife. I prefer the better grip of the EB-LT, but the EB-T is very similar. Only suggestion might be a 4 1/2" blade.

I carry an EBT on my Safariland 6004 holster rig that Mick made up for me. It is VERY badass. One hell of a tough knife in such a compact package. Buy one if you can.

Ryan,

It’s interesting you mention the 6004. That is exactly what I am planning to do with mine. I’ve been using my AR clipped to a D-ring on my vest but I want a fixed blade tanto. The 6004 seems like a pretty convenient place to put the EB-T. Matt D did the same thing with an EB-LS. I found the pictures earlier and it looks good. Any chance you could post some pics of your 6004 with EBT?

ADK,

I'm leaning away from the ED-LT due to the size. The other option I was really thinking of was a DB. I almost bought one a few months ago, but held off due to some other expenses. Now, instead of just buying the DB I'm thinking a slightly bigger blade might be beneficial.

I'll see what I can do. I can't promise anything anytime soon, though, as I am in Gainesville at home and the holste is in Cocoa Beach at work. There is about a 2 1/2 hour trip in between us. I won't be back down there until late December.

Combining any of the EB series knives with the 6004 rig is a great idea. Everyone on my team made fun of me the first day they saw it when we were just wearing holsters on the range. "Look at this high-speed, cool-guy gadget." At the end of the day when we were all in body armor, LBV, Kevlar, NODs, Assault packs, and aidbags I was the only one that could reach my knife. They stopped laughing. They started asking for the website. As always, happy to advertise. Anyway, never used the EB-T but I've only heard good things about it. I use the EB-LS and it works great. Hope you enjoy it.

Wick, I went through your part of the world a few years ago heading to and coming back from Alaska, very nice up there.
When you decide which Strider you want on your 6004 give me a holler, I've got EB-T's, an HT,SA, and a DB. Take care, stay safe. Dean

I agree any of the EB series of knives work on a drop rig. I've got large hands, so the additional length fit me better; plus I like the double choils. I handled both the EB-T and the EB-LT before I bought the EB-LT, and the amount that protrudes from the kydex is virtually the same.

On the front of a drop rig is the only place for a knife to ride. I used to carry a Buck Intrepid on my belt, but it was too big; too awkward to work with. Plus I ended up using my GB 90% of the time anyway, so opted for the EB-LT. Call it a happy meeting point. Roughly the same size grip with the smaller, more user friendly blade. Plus it's a Strider! I've never had any regrets and am happy too to advertise.

Dean,

I just got transfered up here 3 weeks ago and I'm loving it. Its a lot like Virginia, only bigger mountains. I still dont know my way around, have about 50 boxes left to unpack and my wife and boy dont get here til next weekend...but I'm still liking it. A bit slower pace of life here on the west coast.

Wick, I've been through that area a few times and it has always impressed me. Very nice. Hoping the Army will see the err of it's ways and send me and my family back to Alaska.Take care. Dean
PS, I feel your pain with all those damn moving boxes....Makes you wonder where it was you collected all the stuff you did.
