There is an auction currently running on eBay for a C27 Jess Horn, seller's ID is harleyltr. Not going to link to it, anyone interested can find it easy enough. Reason for the warning is that the photo he is using is copied from my website. No big deal, except it means you'd be buying a very expensive pig in a poke and there is always at least the outside chance he does not even have a C27 and the auction is a total fraud. Frankly I think his opening price fairly well guarantees there will be no bids, but figured I'd better warn folks just in case there's someone out there with deep pockets seriously lusting for a C27.

Funniest part to me is the photo shows not one, but three C27 Horns, and of the two where the blade can be seen, one of which is serrated and one is plain. :D

For the record, all three are safe and warm in my display case right now.

Paul, if you contact ebay, you can possibly have them pull the auction. I'm not sure how you go about demonstrating that the image is yours, but I know auctions can be terminated if the seller does not own an image in them. I hope you can do this, as I strongly dislike this type of fraudulent or underhanded behavior.

You might have already considered this, but this is just the sort of announcement that works real well in The Good, Bad and the Ugly located in the Exchange subforum. ;)

For the record, the seller has posted on the Spyderco Factory Forum, apologized, taken the photo down and said he will replace them with pictures of the actual knife being auctioned.
