Hello everyone,
I was having a great 4th weekend until I got this email from eBay stating that they had removed my auction for my Darrel Ralph Madd Maxx custom Black Lip and Fossil Walrus Ivory.

I am assuming it is because of the buzzword "ivory". I think they forgot to take notice of the two words Fossilized Walrus that were in front of it. I sent them a very angry email. I told them it was unlikely that the 50,000 year old Walrus was harmed in any way in the collection of this "Rock". Is Hilary Clinton their CEO?

What do you all think? Did they make a mistake, or should fossilized material be contraband as well? If it is, they need to end the other auctions sitting out there when you search for "Fossiled Walrus Ivory".

Thanks everyone for lettting me vent!

Happy 4th to all!

Moving to TGB&U ...

Good luck trying to get Ebay to comprehend the fossil concept....

It is strange that they would have a problem with ancient ivory (it isn't fossilized). They have a company that sells mammoth ivory for knife and gun handles and another that actually sells elephant ivory.

"...my Darrel Ralph Madd Maxx custom Black Lip..."

eBay has a policy against selling body parts...Maybe that's what they keyed on?

Hi...just an update...they have officially stated that they pulled the auction because of the Walrus Ivory. I have emailed them back to explain the whole idea of the fossil thing, but as Cougar Allen says, "good luck getting them to understand that concept"

Thank goodness it's still ok to sell body parts. :D

Hey I sold two titanium hipjoints about a year ago they let that sale go through.

What I wanna know is, who would buy two used titanium hipjoints off of EBay?

That certainly is an option -- you can get a Gold Membership and sell it here on Bladeforums. Click on "Upgrade your forums experience, and help support this site" at the top of the page for details.

Apparently he doesn't generate enough fees for them or isn't a Power Screwer (oops I mean Power Seller).
