I was scrolling through eBay last night, and was amazed at how many fakes there were! But even more amused at how obvious they were to spot. Has anyone here fallen for these fakes before?

I noticed that as well..

There was a cigar manufacturer that had a blatant ASH rip off as part of a limited cigar/herf/knife package. Gurkha, Black Ops Cigars, maybe?

There is/was another..Gurkha I think ..that was using Busse knife images..ASH's, Real ASH's w/ BUSSE logo..as part of their advertising..

Oh they have nice packaging and little booklets and all the garbage, nice custom boxes- A lot of effort in packaging which is kind of funny considering every Busse I've seen comes out wrapped in packing paper am I right?
There's one place that copies several models but they aren't even good copies. IMO any guy who would buy those should wear a dress to work and just accept the kind of person they are~ no offense to those who do, more power to ya!

Update: I was looking into Icky's reply about the cigar company copying the ASH and came across a video, saying that a CS Gurkha Khukuri could win over an ASH any day, continuing to say that Hogs are "brand worshipping mindless tools", and my favorite, "overweight, overpaid suburban mall ninjas".:D Thoughts?

A few months ago I bought a "Masalong Wild Boar Straight Claw Tactical Handle Outdoor Hunting Knife" from Amazon, which was identical to a knife sold as a "Busse War Boar II" advertised on eBay and esewhere.

Amost identical, anyway. Accoring to the Amazon listing:

Only sellers MASALONG produced in order to ensure quality, other sellers because generic products were the shelves, if you find, you can go to report, or to request a refund.If you need our trademark registration, please let us know

The Amazon version wasn't advertised as a Busse, but it did have the trademarked talon hole. I liked the way they advertised "Don't be fooled by fake fakes; this is the real fake." I reported the apparant talon hole trademark infringement to Jerry with a link to the Amazon listing, for whatever that worth.

Not fooled just curious. Apparantly not curious enough to actually try it out, though.

Report that site to @Jerry Busse and take the link to that photo down!!!!

Comparing a relatively short knife to a Kukri. Makes sense.

I like to find cheap $1-$3 items sold by ebay sellers who list fakes, buy them, then demand refunds (usually get them) and leave negative feedback regardless of outcome. It's exceptionally cheap entertainment for me and maybe helps make their lives that much harder ;)

I dunno... You guys are trying to tell me that Jerry didn't release this gem without us knowing?

Oh, and I guess he is using 8cr now instead of INFI and SR101...
;):eek::rolleyes:
