ebay forge - your thoughts?

where'da live??? Surely with such a wealth of smiths about, someone could come'n help you with some of this. When I finally saw the handwriting on the wall; that is, "was ready to ditch coal", I had to get wet and learn on the fly just as you will. Once you've built a forge, you'll not be able to ever again let that aspect of bladesmithing out of your hands. It is a necessary evil you learn to love.... decent wine doesn't hurt either, uhm... in the "building" process that is
