Ebay Kershaw Knockoff!

If you read the description it says, "AS FAR AS REPRODUCTIONS GO, THIS KNIFE IS VIRTUALLY IDENTICAL TO THE 1600 KERSHAW LEEK.. THE MECHANIC'S ARE THE SAME, SPRING ASSISTED TORSION BAR RELEASE, THE TRIGGER IS UP ON THE TOP SPINE. THIS IS NOT A GENUINE KERSHAW."

The ebay seller hasn't broken any laws. He has described the product accurately. The manufacturer is in China where Kershaw can't really do anything about it. It is sad to see this kind of thing but it is very common.

Roosko, it only says that after you click on the item. The Listing Description is what makes me so mad. It says nothing about "similar to Kershaw", it says it IS a 1660/Leek.

I have been trying sooooo hard to find a Boron Leek, and I almost bought this before I read the description thoroughly. I would never have looked twice at a Kershaw rip-off.

He must have edited it, because the Title says that it's styled like the Kershaw.

I tried to report this item to Ebay as a possible copyright violation and the system kept telling me that the listing number was invalid.

c'mon guys it DOES include a nylon sheath :jerkit:

Now for real..... what a rip off..... it is an exact COPY of a leek.....

Though he does describe the knife very clearly as not being a real Kershaw, he is still selling a knife that he says uses the same patented mechanism. I would never purchase a knife from someone willing to sell a knife that illegally uses a patented mechanism.
