Ebay knives

I stay away from any non USA made fixed blades! Unless it from Germany ,France or England!

Unfortunately eBay is not the only site that the Pakastani and Chinese junk is being dumped. I ran across quite a few on a popular gun trading buying website I won't name. Very sad to see they let this junk on when there are some very good makers trying to sell their wares on the same site.

A satisfactory knife buying experience through eBay just requires reasonable care. Speaking just of factory-made production knives, a lot can be inferred by just the seller's or manufacturer's location. If it's somewhere in the world where a day's wages in dollars can be counted using the fingers on just one or two hands, this goes a long way to explain an absurdly low asking price.

Don't be shy about using eBay utilities to ask the seller to clarify some point or to address an issue not explicitly stated in the item listing. It goes without saying that an honest seller will welcome such queries, and it should be equally obvious that a disrespectful response or no response at all is a pretty good indication you should choose to spend your money elsewhere.

Then, you are missing out. Manufacturers in Finland, Norway, Sweden, Japan, and other countries make some excellent knives.

I thought that any imported knife had to have the country of origin clearly labeled. Many of the cheap Damascus hunting knives on EBAY don't indicate country of origin, but surely are not USA made????

I am not a fan of skulls, zombies, or rainbow anodized anything -especially on knives! So I shy away from that end of things. .

I will add that I bought one of those Damascus things from Pakistan (or wherever) because I liked the way it looked. It was a good looking knife. Mosaic pins- nice ladder pattern.... but it ended there. I would guess the HRC was about 6!
