Hi, everyone. First post here after joining in '11 or something like that. I found something I feel obligated to share.
A little more than a week ago, I was looking to see what the Benchmade Bugout 535-1901 (the limited edition with jade scales) was going for on eBay. When I adjusted to sold items only, I immediately noticed that #881/2000 had sold as pre-owned on 6/24/21, and then as brand new on 7/14/21 by kawasakicowboy. I've taken screenshots of the listing description for each and he is clearly being deceitful. He bought it in "excellent used condition". His listing body for the sale says "Limited Edition 12/2019 First Production 881/2000 ( Dealer Consignment Sale Item New Old Stock Discontinued Model These are all new box has been open to check centering and operation of Item. I bought a dealer collection that went of of business."
I love the "only opened to..." lines used on eBay. That automatically means it's used. He bought it for $295 used and sold it to someone for $495 as brand new. That's bullshit. After this shit with Slicey Dicey coming to a head yesterday, we've got to put these scammers on full blast, right in the middle of Front Street.
I'm very busy with a dog that just had surgery, so I won't be able to keep up with this thread. I just wanted to put this out there. Maybe someone knows who bought it and they can use the evidence here to get eBay to do something. At the very least, the word can get out about this jag.
