I've been looking for knives on Ebay for the past couple weeks. I've noticed some strange things. One are the jerks who sell one brand and say "not Buck," for example, to mess up searches for Buck. Another is that many people selling knives know nothing about them, which is to be expected I guess. The funniest one is an auction I saw yesterday, and it was for a "Gerber Throwing Knife." I did not know they made any so I looked at the auction and it was a Guardian. :D  In the description it told how well it worked as a thrower. I don't thnink I'd buy a Guardian that was used as a thrower, but I guess that does mean it is a tough knife. ;)

...Or you are on a page that is supposed to list something like Camillus knives (for example), and you find crap like some guy selling Chinese noodles or some guy selling pink bunnies in the same damn listing....Those aren't even KNIVES, for christsake!

Why can't eBay have moderators who could at least move SOME of that crap to where it belongs?.:grumpy:.

Moving to TGB&U, but while I'm here....

I understand that's against the rules at Ebay and they'll deal with it if you report it to them.

You mean you can buy knives on eBay? ;)

I wish they would add a category: "Knives, Crap" that would eliminate a lot of wasted time.

The problem with that online auction site is that they are just as liberal and communist as the state they are in (all hale comifornia). I'm surprised you can even put the word knife in an auction, without having some ninja dressed in the fruitloop colors of ebay jump through your window and smack you upside the head.

They won't allow a lot of ham radio stuff...firearms stuff...and other items I've always traded, some of which there is simply very little explanation, but then they allow cable descramblers

those ebay pricks give money to anti gun lobbyists and the ilk....why even go there and support the site in any form or fashion whatsoever?......same goes for paypal which is owned by none other than the pricks who brought you ebay:mad:

I did not know this. I won't use it now. I wasn't able to find any deals on what I was looking for so far anyway.

I agree that their political activism and funding goes against my personal views...but as a collector, it's kind of hard to turn your back on all those good sources (well, there USED to be, anyway).
