Well, I just got the new pack I ordered a couple days ago, and damn its a big pack. I have a lot of crap, but I am not sure I can fill this beast. I will be going out for a two week camping trip soon so I will do a write up on this pack when I get back. Driving to a camp site and a bunch of hiking from there mainly.

Anyone have one of these packs? Any tips on packing it for comfort and maximizing all the space. This is the largest pack I have at 3,800 cubic inches. You would think a $400 pack would come with a water bladder but it didnt, so I am going to take the one from my Camelback Commander.

Any and all help is appreciated.

Was just looking at the Eberlestock packs yesterday. That is a lot of pack. I just don't want to have to hump all of that.

Good on ya, hope you have a good trip.

I am going to be buying one of the smaller 2900 cubic inch "M" Gunslinger packs next month (March)...I don't know when I will do more than use it for working out on the treadmill so I will look forward to your report. I decided 2900 ci would do what I needed and it is 2 pounds lighter than the larger packs.

IMO 9 pounds empty is way too much for use as a day pack. It looks like the top comes off to use as a fanny pack. This would be a good place to put essential items if you wer ever to have to ditch the rest of the pack.
