Um, no. But you will eventually turn a pretty shade of blue.
Influenza is airborne and survives outside the body for quite a while. My biggest fear is that someone will have the common flu, catch Ebola, and mutate it to where it's easily transmissible through the air (more than it is now), and survives outside the body for weeks where it can be picked up from surfaces and ingested. (Mouth, eyes, nose)
It's the very same doomsday scenario they've been talking about with bird flu for years. It ain't that far fetched....
Apparently from what I have read and heard is it is airborne.
I heard that if you ingest colloidal silver your body is immune to Ebola and Hanta.
I'd like to know why it hasn't seemed to spread to the middle east, or someplace like china. Maybe I just haven't heard about it, but it seems odd that it they seem to have stayed ebola free (that I know of) while we have had a few cases in the us. I almost hope that ebola spreads to mexico, then maybe the government will get serious about protecting our border.
Just want everyone to know this is NOT how viruses mutate.
No it's not. If it was legitimately airborne this would be a much worse scenario, but the virus is not currently airborne. It also, as I've said, has a very very low chance of becoming airborne.
And yeah...no.
If you were sick with something life-threatening and could purchase a plane ticket... would you go to Yemen for treatment?
Is it true that the government will suspend spraying chemtrails from commercial airliners because the toxicity of the mind control chemicals is impeding the mutation of hemorrhagic fevers into bipedal chimeras and a rapid spread of Ebola from monkey bites?
First, very good point with the medical treatment. You also have to consider the fact that many countries have regulations on people coming in from other countries that are heavier than ours (no really they do), and our country has a large number of people outside of our borders on a regular basis for a variety of reasons. People coming BACK into the country the primary concern right now, and they're likely to remain that way, as it takes time to get into the US, and people will likely show symptoms before they make the trip.
Secondly, I know this is a pretty serious thread and all, but that made me laugh too hard man.![]()
Hey demon, you wouldn't happen to be on duty right now...lol.
Just want everyone to know this is NOT how viruses mutate.
Viruses replicate by forcing cells to produce copies of themselves and then destroy the cells to release the replicates. This process has a small amount of variation from one copy to another, and that is how a virus mutates. If one copy is more effective than the others because of the mutation then it replicates more, and spreads itself more effectively, this becoming a new strain of the virus. I have heard no cases of any viruses combining, especially since most viruses don't affect the same types of cells, and would never come into contact with one-another.
Even if two viruses infected the same cell, they would not be able to combine, because the process through which they replicate wouldn't make that possible.
Also, viruses seem to mutate so fast because they infect a large number of cells at a time, and in many cases, many organisms at a time when we're looking at them. Some viruses are more prone to mutation that others, end Ebola has a fairly low risk for rapid mutation.
I have no idea why, but I can't access the Ebola thread in the political section.
Since nobody touches their face with anything other than their hands, it's important to keep your hands sanitized and not to touch your face in between.
