Greetings Everyone,
I am posting this beautiful ebony and pattern-welded dagger. It has a striking pattern that is composed of a core with 40 layers of 15n20 and 1080, parallelled by 1090, with both edges being 1080.
The blade is just over 6" long, and the handle is 4.25".
This knife is one complete artistic theme, with Celtic knotwork carved into the ebony, and wrought iron fittings. The "dark" emphasizes the silvery streaks in the pattern.
The blade is razor sharp, and has a convex grind with a flat diamond cross-section.
Everything I make is totally hand forged. There were no presses or power-hammers. No jigs or fixtures were used, either.
This piece does not have the look of something stamped and milled by computer-guided cutter. It is obviously hand made, and can be used as a conversation piece.
If you are interested in owning a hand-made piece of edged art, please send me a private message.
Thank you for looking,
Kevin
