Ebony Handle on BK24

You went from a homerun to a grand slam with the ebony scales and new leather. The craftsmanship is exquisite.

Thanks for the story! It's really cool how it all came together. I love my 14 as well. Feel naked without it in my back pocket. I was just fooling around with a half complete sheath this evening, I gotta getter done.

Thanks everyone! It's nice to know others like it too. It's also nice to know the man who created this line of awesome knives thinks so too :)
I've been carrying it all week at work and have gotten a ton of nice comments from our customers. Thanks for all the inspiration :)

You did some really nice work and have a great rig to show for it. I'm jealous, not a lefty, just jealous.

very nice ebony :>

maybe a fossilized ivory handle for a BK13?

ebony and ivory! :D

Hey everyone. So I've been carrying my knife everyday since I gave it some new handles and I noticed something. The wood is shrinking ? There is probably an 1/8th of an inch of the tang showing along the back of the handle. The piece I cut it from was covered in wax. I'm wondering if the ebony wasn't fully dried out because of the wax?

Well, I've enacted a possible plan. I originally decided just to sand the handle smooth and polish it as is. But since it has shrunk, I've decided to seal it with Tru-Oil. So far it looks nice and I haven't noticed any further shrinking. I'm building up the coats over the next few days so I'll report back with pictures. :)
