Ebony & Ivory (#15 Boys Knives)

Another  for a great thread :)

They were not SFO's. But there are many dealers that just grab a couple of something and by the time we figure out how hot something is - they are gone.

This was a bad thread for me to read...

Thanks for the lightning fast shipping, Mike!

wow, gorgeous knives! i tend to like somewhat more ornate design with knives, but GEC really knows how to do "simple" just right! too bad you had to ruin the blade with starting a patina. just kidding. ;)

Just got an Ivory Bone Clip single on order.

There's something about this bone that really draws me, I've got an early 07 73 Beaver Tail in it (though I think it was called Almond Bone, must check the tube) It's certainly yellowed nicely even with 'desk only' use. The Boy's Knife seems to have a lot of potential for my needs: compact, simple but quality.

Certainly getting impatient here!

Just picked this up from Mike at Collectorknives.net and can't wait. I was dreaming about a bearhead calico bone #15, looks like this is about as close as i'm gonna get. Cant wait to see the post man. Does anyone know how many of these GEC produced in their house cleaning?

I borrowed your photo Mike.

I don't even ask them, as I think it makes it more fun to find out next year!

They also sent me some ebony and knife brite in a bare end spear; which was not made in the full run and had a lot of folks complaining.

I also shouldn't have looked at this thread. I've been mostly into the TC Barlows since the first release, but now I can't help myself from wanting to own one of these Boy's knives. There is something about their simplicity that I find very compelling. Now that the Sheepsfoot version is coming out with the easy open notch, I am even more tempted than ever.

I could have sworn I saw an end capped smooth bone single clip blade a few weeks ago. (??) I realize these parts knives/short run/orphan knives sometimes sell out fast and perhaps that's what happened. Did anyone pick up one of those, or did I just imagine that knife?
