Ebony Jack knife

What was it you didn't like about the boys knife? I'm only curious because I've been looking at picking one of these up in ebony with the single clip blade. Don't want to hijack your thread though so maybe you could send me a visitor message if you don't want to put it here. :)

Nothing wrong with it. Someday, I might get another in ebony. Mine was rust bone.... Nice knife, but not what I was wanting.

Who makes an Ebony 2 Blade Jack in carbon steel at least 3.5" long?

You may want to consider the GEC Powderhorn. They are 4" cllosed, carry nice in the pocket, and are sturdy knives.

This is one of the patterns I'm hoping to be able to hold in hand at the knife show this weekend. In pictures I love the way it looks.

I had a GEC toothpick. It felt good, but not quite what I'm looking for.

I'm really thinking swell center, equal end, gunstock, coke bottle..... Maybe a tear drop or eureka.

I love my eureka jack and also highly recommend the schatt and morgan heritage jacks. I have the single spear and single clip in ebony and they are among my favorite knives.

Another vote for either the 15 or 85. Both are awesome in ebony. For something bigger, the 53 TK Cuban also feels really good in hand and pocket in ebony, like a bigger White Owl (which is also very nice in ebony).

You can always hope GEC contracts to do this years forum knife. I'd expect an ebony version soon after...

Dang it!! Bob at Old Hundred Collectibles contacted me on Friday to let me know he found a bnib Ebony #66 Serpentine Jack in his inventory he didn't even know he had. He sent me the email on the 12th but I didn't see it until the 14th and it was already sold by that point! I really hate that feeling when you miss out on something nice and hard to find.

He tempted me at the gunshow this weekend and I couldn't resist. I did what any knife nut would do. Funny thing is I had been lusting for one but figured I'd have to wait for the next run. If there ever is one.

Hey I didn't get to go to the Oregon show and meet Charlie. You got me there.

Ouch! I've been looking (lusting) high and low for an Ebony 66 for a while too :( I'll just have to happy with my Ebony CC Teamsters 66 and my new (old) Ebony White owl :) Great score Mr B E, congrats!

I know it's not a 2-blade jack but there are a lot of ebony covered #66 Calf Ropers (stockman) still to be had at most dealers. What's a third blade among friends. It's a 2-spring knife but the blades are not krinked. Instead one of the liners is doubled up to off-set the blades. Not bulky at all.

Not all exactly jacks but these all have or come with 2 blades. Hope this helps narrow down the selection a bit. From the top, #12 Powderhorn Jack, #15 Boy's Knife, #16 Canoe, #23 Pioneer (don't have the jack but add a pen and remove the lanyard hole), #33 Conductor, #53 Cuban Pen, #66 Jack, #68 White Owl, #72 Cody Jack, #85 Bullet Jack, #92 Eureka Jack.

Nice collection Trand. I held the 92 this weekend and really like the pattern. I know the OP mentioned that as a front runner. It's a fine choice if you like the blade selection.
