Ebook Reading Devices

I was interested in the kindle when they first came out - e-mailed my former partner in the security business asking him what he thought ( he's a super geek) - his e-mail back was short and sweet "Have you read the EULA?"
End User Licensing Agreement - don't just click yes I agree - read it!

To quote another e-book reader, using Kindle is quite like having your bookstore insist that if you buy books from them, you buy your eyeglasses only from them as well.

Well, I've done a bit of reading on my iPhone now and, while it's not ideal, it's certainly acceptable. The great thing being that I almost always have it with me, it's small and easy to carry and you can have many books sitting in it so you have a choice of what to read.

I do have a mobile phone nor do I intend getting one and so I think it will a dedicated reader.

Living in a rural area will probably mean making the decision based upon online info without having the chance to use, handle, and get the feel of it until after I have purchased it. :(

That was my problem too. (Although not such a rural area.) I had never even heard of such a thing as an e-book reader much less seen one (except in Sci-Fi stories,) until a few months before I ordered mine! To date I can't think of any way to make my reader better suited to my needs! I don't even have to move my fingers to turn the page. The way my hands naturally fall on the reader while holding it allows me to change pages with either hand with just thumb pressure. I wouldn't mind a wrist strap, and though there is a ring for it already on the reader, I've been too lazy to make one! My bad. :)
