ECA Persian rattling?

I just picked up an ECA Persian as well as the production version. I noticed that when in the closed position, the ECA Persion rattles from the pocket clip area. Does anyone else have this with thier knife or is it something I should be concerned with?

I just got a new Mini-CQC and mine rattles some from the hinge when half opened. It doesn't rattle at all when closed or locked open. Is this normal like a bearing or somethink in the hinge part?
Sorry, I'm new to Emerson knives and don't know the answer to your rattling problem either.

Guys,

What you hear is probably the stop pin. I have this with several of my Emersons but it does not bother me. If you want to get rid of the sound, then there are a few possibilities:

1) Send it to EKI and explain them what you'd like them to do.
2) remove one of the scales and put something flexible (a small
piece of rubber or so) in the detent for the stop pin in the scale.

The fact that you don't hear it when the knive is either opened or closed fully, but only when it's half way, is because that's the only position in which the blade doesn't have contact with the stop pin and hence doesn't lock it up.

Thanks for the info. I wasn't too worried about it since I figured it was supposed to do that, but was just curious what caused it. I definately won't send it back when that's how it's supposed to function. I've only had it for a week, but I love this knife already!:)

It definetly is a production problem. My custom shop persian is tight as Microtech. MY specwar has minimal play as well. It is a quality control problem. Send it in for the best results . I myself am to lazy to send my knives in.
