My green paperstone Eco-Lite 110 just came in the mail...WOW...the handle shape is great, and while it is really light, the steel liners under the paperstone make it feel real solid.

I have to run some errands, but will post pictures later tonight!!!

This thing is sweet!!!!!

Very light and the contoured handles feel great!

A shot of the insides, the "liners" are full at each end, but only partial along the spine.

Blade is centered fine.

My initial impressions of the Paper Stone are good, it feels like really hard or stabilized wood to me. I even wet mine down to see if it wold become slippery and it actually gets this tacky non-slip thing going when wet, which to me is a plus in an outdoors knife.

Carried it in my pocket today, and it sure rides easy. Gonna pack it a few more days for my edc to give it a good general use test.

Good work Buck!!

It's always good to hear from a user. Nice pics, too. A couple 110's and 112's are on my list for my 2010 catalog orders. I'll have to try each color.

The fact that PaperStone is used on kitchen counter tops would indicate hardness and water resistance I would guess.

Good thread.

Any quick impressions on how it compares to the old Bucklites as far as durability?

My initial impressions are that they will probably benefit from having steel liners, and be more durable.

Have to carry it and use it awhile to get a better idea.

I'm liking thew eco lite more and more each time i see it,gonna have to break down and order one!lol

the more i look at this the more impressed i am. had already thought the price would make for great gifts and to toss in the glovebox, toolbox etc as a less expensive 110..but after looking at the handle shape i can see it being used a lot. maybe eco-lite for the city and regular for the country

My main wish is that they come out with S30V blades. Also, the colors and graphical possibilities are unlimited. It's just a matter of the cost/returns equation.

P.S. I should add that in the PaperStone technical sheet it states:

"UV exposure - Slight darkening for light colors,
dark colors are stable
"

Is this going to be a regular offering or is it a limited run? I didn't see them on the Buck website.

It's a regular offering in the 2010 catalog. The 2010 catalog is not up on the website yet.

Thanks wolfdog. I hope they're made available at brick and mortar stores like the standard 110 is.
