I would like to hear from some of you have have and use Ed Fowler knives. I am very interested in them as I use knives hard, and I love my other 52100 blades. I understand they are hard to get a hold of, but where there's a will there's a way.

I don't have and have never used a Fowler, but as far as getting one if you're at the Oregon show next weekend you have a really good chance. Ed will have quite a few 52100 Pronghorns at his table.
Good Luck!

Im lazy, so I will just refer you to these two recent threads about Fowler knives:

Ed Fowler, Serendipity, and those Darned Sheep

Happy reading!

Coonskinner.....I found this post after responding to your e-mail to me, so I'm all typed out!

Well, I have only had my Fowler for about a week now and it had been great. I have cut up some chicken, steaks, and today it cleaned 10 trout. I know this is relatively light work but it still needs a good knife.
If someone is going to the Oregon show, I would love another Pronghorn or may be a smaller "bird and trout" sized knife. I would be willing to compensate someone for getting me one (of course on top of the cost of the knife).

I use my Proghorn all the time. In fact, it is coming with me for a bear hunt next week here on the island.

What can I say about the ultiimate in high performance blades. This knife is triple quenched and tempered and holds an edge like the day is long. It is easy to sharpen, a joy to hold and just plain beautiful. I have many knives and a lot of really good ones but this knife is head and shoulders above the rest. Why? Because it was made by a man who eats, sleep and lives knives. Watch the video on the making of a bearing quality 52100 blade that Ed has out and you will see what I mean.

There is no hype in a Ed Fowler knife...it is truly a high performance blade. It walks the talk and anyone who has one will agree.

These are not trophy knives or dust collectors. They are using knives. They're like a pair of great workboots. They get better after you use 'em for a while.
