Ed Fowler Sheath

I picked up a Damascus Bowie. It came with one of his normal sheaths… and he made another one for it. I don’t quite know how it was intended to be worn. There’s no belt loop & it has a pretty good size stud.

I’m imagining boot wear or cartridge belt… but I’m just guessing. Can somebody straighten me out?

Tuck it under your belt so the stud rests on top of the belt

If you wanted to wear it a bit more securely you could have a frog with a belt loop / dangler / whatever attachment you want made. This was common on period military swords and bayonet scabbards.

I’ve also seen people punch a hole in their belt so the stud can be secured, the sheath is behind the belt and the hole in the belt keeps it positioned better.
