Doug, You are correct! It has been buffed im sure. Ed doesnt remember whether he worked on it or not. The appearance of sheath tells that someone has carried it quite a lot. Resharpened, though i think the faint etch is the original finish. Here is a look how it fits my hands best, as a small knife. It works, whether you like the "choked up" hold. Feels comfy.
