Ed Kalfayan Custom – Older Mark

Here is a nice example of Knifemaker’s Guild member Ed Kalfayan’s older work. This knife has his older mark “KALFAYAN” that is of the block-letter type. His newer knives have a script-lettering mark. I don’t know how old this knife is but I picked it up about 10 years ago.

I don’t know what kind of steel is in this knife but it is a beauty. This is a full tang knife and all the steel is mirror-polished. The clip-style blade is 4 7/8” long. Overall length is 9 7/8” long. This one has cocobolo wood handles that have been sculpted some for a better feel in your hand. Knife comes with a very nicely made dark brown leather sheath.

This knife is like new, never used, and never sharpened. This one is a very comfortable knife with a nice hefty feel to it.
