Andy,

That is the best thing you can do.

I recommend Cabellas, Bass Pro, and Gander MT , in that order as places that you can actually get your hands on the toys.

You will be so confused afterwards.....lol.....so like most of us,,,,one or two each.....:D :D

Another vote for the Tempest here.

Nice - light - thin and strong enough to do most things. Also has ASAP which is cool.

IMHO the Buck 112 and the 110 are bit heavy for pocket carry EDC.

I PREFER THE 110 BECAUSE I THINK THE BIGGER BLADE MAKES IT MORE VERSATILE. AND TRAX, KEEP UP THE GREETINGS PLEASE.

...I agree with all of the guys...Buy 'em all and use one a day til you find yerself puttin' the same one in your pocket more than the others...That's the one to use as your favorite EDC...til ya find a new one...LMBO...and welcome to the forum Andy...Hope ya copied Trax's welcome before it was edited out...Ya know sumthin'............Trax never tossed that welcome out to me...sniff, sniff, snerf...:( :(

(...good thing I copied it...heh heh heh...:p )

I would like to add that I also wish the 110 had the nice curve that the 112 has at the pivot end of the handle. It nicely keeps your fingers from slipping forward a little when holding it. It's a very good design.

I didn't get a chance to see trax original post but i have seen it in other threads so no problems here.

You didn't miss anything, andy66...it's just an annoying welcome message...

Get off the cross. We need the wood, you poultry hoofer :) Start the greeting again.
One person said they didn't like it. I was the first to say that I did and others did too.
Do we need a poll? And not the dancing kind.

Trax, you sent me that greeting not too long ago. It came in handy, plus it's kinda nice... like getting a fruit basket! :D

If you want something to carry in your pocket, check out the Sirus or the Mayo TNT. Both make excellent EDC and fit nicely in your pocket with a clip. I carry the TNT everyday to the office. I would not leave home without it.

I'm with Mike on this, I own lots of knives, but that Mayo TNT is with me more than any other.

Well that is an endless debate ....does size matter?

ugh as a mater if fact olly it does..

I collect 110's only have a couple of 112 which are nice but I like the little extra blade on the 110.
ya hoo yo is so righutess nothing like a little extra to do the job right!

the nice curve that the 112 has at the pivot end of the handle. It nicely keeps your fingers from slipping forward a little when holding it- it's called by buck the "112 hook"
and it once appeared on a 110 knife known as the thin sides
of which there were only 5 or 6 made... and all but one i belive are accounted for...
but what do i know ... i know notzing! notzing you hears me !

OK, I like the welcome message  .....I just wish the chicken would stop his whining. :barf:

I wish the chicken would stop whining too. I said I didn't like it. I speak my mind. Nobody has to agree with me. ;)

Good grief, lets move on.

Maybe there is another buck that would suit me better for light cutting duties and carrying comfort?
Thanks
Andre

Tempest or Sirus all the way!!
110 is too big for pocket carry (IMHO) and may also be illegal depending on where you live...
112 is also quite bulky and heavy in the pocket (IMHO again :D)
I love my 110's and 112 but sheath carry always!!
Good luck!!!

...Yep..That Sirus is really growing on me. Three days now and it seems to crawl in my pocket all by itself...Great knife...Thanks again for the push "honkerholic"...:D
