Does anyone else EDC a neck knife? I just started to last week, and so far I really like it. Here is a pic:

The knife is a Swamp Rat "swamp warden" and the sheath was made my Rainwalker creations.

There where three request I had.

1)I wanted it to be able to accept the Tek-Klip and Tek-loc's.
2)I wanted to be able to wear it as a neck knife both upside down and right side up.
3)I wanted grooves on the side so that I can wrap some kind of small cord around the sheath.

As you can see, he did a great job. The square shape also makes it suited for pocket carry. I really like this set up.

I EDC a Fallkniven U2 and a WM1 that in configured for neck carry but it would look too combatty to wear them like that at work so I keep one in my pocket and one in my pack.

I know someone who is soon to get four Mora 780 :)

I would like to, but according to every LEO I've talked to here in California, it's illegal to wear a fixed blade anywhere but on the belt, in plain view.

From what I read of the California knife laws. Its not an issue of location but being plainly visible. Still the most under informed people I know of concerning knife laws is the law enforcement officers. These are my neck rigs I made for folders, and a shoulder harness I made for carrying a 6" voyager.

The problem is that even if the neck knife is legal if worn openly, as you said LEO might not understand that. You then can be looking at a night in jail and thousands of dollars in legal fees, just to convinced LEO that he's wrong.

Which is why all I do while in the "great state of CA" is carry a folder in my pocket. They still can't get mad at me about that.

There are sooo many laws that need to be changed or abolished altogether in this screwed-up state.

Aint that the truth and if you abolish most of the politicians and liberal voters, this would be a heck of a lot better state to live in.
