Another one forged from 52100.
A bit larger and thicker version of my Bird and Trout/EDC knives (Wild Turkey&Catfish
).
Just enough size for more serious work, but still light and comfortable to carry.
Flats are left raw, wet forged and wire brushed after forging.
After heat treatment, flats are brushed with scotch brite.
Bevels are hand sanded with 800 grit and etched in lemon acid.
Details:
Overall length - 8,9"
Blade length - 4,4"
Blade width - 1"
Thickness at the back of the spine -1/8"
Tang tapers to 3/64" at the end
Scales are made of some cool looking phenolic material, taken from mid 70's water pump. It is hard and strong material, and it has some nice shades and figure that i can't catch with my phone camera.
Black G10 liners, stainless steel pins and lanyard tube.
Handmade, 4mm thick (0,16") vegetable leather sheath, made for left or right hand horizontal carry.
