Hey everyone!

Got some great advice on a folding EDC knife last time. Looking to get into a fixed blade EDC. Not married to anything, but a few im mostly looking at are

Bradford GNecker (elmax)
Bradford Gardian 3 (would love the 3v but no issue with the m390)

I have a Esse Izula 2 that I don't love. I mostly am carrying it in my pocket with a kydex sheath and ulti clip. My Camp knife fixed blade is a Bradford gardian 4 in 3v but as a EDC it's a little bigger than I want, plus I have gotten a few of the "stares." You get what I mean. But ya let me know what you guys are carrying for a EDC fixed blade and what your thinking! Thank you

I've been carrying a Becker BK-11 for some time now.

Are you looking for pocket or belt carry? You could remove the clip and simply slide the Izula down in your pocket.
Also, what about the Izula are you not happy with? Just wondering. Thanks

Hi friend, here are a few that I like to carry in the current rotation. I prefer hard sheaths since they're a little more secure and stays nice and thin. The exodus is really a horizontal carry, but I find the sheath too thin to accurately put the blade back (or maybe I just suck) so I carry it vertically with a DCC clip. Anyway hope this gives you some ideas, happy shopping!

I don't love the way it handles in the hand. It's not a bad knife. Just don't think it's for me. I like knifes that also have a bit more chunk in the handle

I love and carry my Carothers DEK1. She has D3V steel and Cocobolo scales. You are too late for the preorder, but you might be able to pick one up here on the forum or on the Carothers 'Friday Sales' in a couple of months or so. I made a leather OWB sheath to carry her in.

I don't EDC carry fixed blades but when I use a knife, I like to have a decent handle to grip (like the Bradford 3). Being that this is pocket carry, I can understand the allure of a skeletonized handle (Gnecker).

Do you think you prefer a skeletonized handle vs some kind of scale (ie. thicker G10, micarta, etc) ?

I have no preference. The g necker is a size thing plus I heard elmax can be a great edc metal. But im not dead set because the blade seems like a good length just worried about the handle.

Thats a killer looking knife! The seller is on the forums? Or do they have a site? Social media?

Yes, they have their own subforum - Carothers Performance Knives. They also make knives in AEB-L steel and are making some available in MagnaCut. I'm going to try to score a DEK3 in MagnaCut. I have a DEK2 that I preordered with the swedge and penetrator tip like my DEK1. It will hopefully have Osage Orange scales.
